2022 Cracking paste and acrylic paint on a cotton canvas, 95x95x5.5cm, framed in white and ready to hang

Himalayan Salt resembles an imagined landscape with pink mountains against a deep blue sky.

This composition uses one of Samuel’s favourite colour combinations to create a striking and balanced paintingt.

Samuel applied cracking paste to the canvas, then layered the turquoise, pink and white acrylic paints to create the mountainous form. Finally. white acrylic paint was lightly dragged across the surface to subtly highlight the cracked texture.

The canvas is fixed within a deep white painted wooden frame.
