I have recently become interested in exploring the interplay between groups with apparently opposing views and how the media choose to present these positions (informatively or otherwise). Humanity has surely reached a crossroads and perhaps now more than ever it should be recognised that extremes needn’t cause conflict. Diametric opposition could ignite a process of alchemy to ultimately foster greater harmony and understanding.

The compatiblity of opposing colours demonstrate the possibility of tranquility and in these paintings the use of spray paint merges those opposing colours with appropriate subtelty.

Rachel creates works in a variety of media, mainly acrylics, producing atmospheric and deceptively understated pieces often on a large scale.
