Making a fresh start doesn’t mean consigning our current selves to the archives of shame. It’s not a process of whitewashing the past. Its an opportunity to liberate the present best versions of ourselves for an enlightened future. We are made of many colours. Each one worthy of individual celebration. A gentle, yet fresh and surprisingly invigorating lilac evokes a sensitive optimism, with a recognition that imperfections can blend well and even inform and enhance. Multiple layers of gesso and acrylic paint are applied, selectively removed and reapplied, allowing areas of previous layers to bleed through. .
